Our Trip To New York
Submitted by Marie Dinkheller (Germany), ASSE Exchange Student hosted by the Mrs. Hélène Mathieu and Mr. Martin Gingras family of Beauceville, Québec, Canada

ASSE Exchange Student Marie and her hostsister Ann Sophie enjoy NY

On the 8th of October my hostfamily and I left for our trip to New York. From Beauceville we took the car to get to Portland. There we stayed the night and the next morning we took the airplane to go to New York. After arriving in New York we went to our hotel (next to the Times Square in Manhatten) by Taxi. It’s unblievable how many taxis there are in New York and how big this city is. There are lights and noise everywhere. At night we made a bus tour to see all the skyscrapers and monuments by night. It was really impressive. The next day we went to see the statue of liberty and we visted the museum where the movie „Night at the Museum“ was made. On the last day of our trip we walked a lot through the Central Park, which we all really liked because it’s such a beautiful park. Of course we went also shopping. I really liked our trip and we were all a little bit sad when we had to leave.
